Insectcibus is committed to protecting personal information by following responsible information-handling practices in keeping with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and other relevant privacy laws. This Privacy Policy governs our practices with respect to personal information we collect through the Insectcibus website. Personal information is any information recorded in any form that identifies or can identify an individual.

Email mailing list subscriptions

When you subscribe to an email list from Insectcibus, you need to provide your name and an email address. This email address is used to deliver the mailing list messages to you, such as information about Insectcibus activities or projects, and information updates. Your email address will not be disclosed to any other mailing list subscriber, organization, website, or government agency. If you do not wish to hear about Insectcibus publications, activities or projects, you may unsubscribe at any time.

We respect your privacy and, unless otherwise required by law, we will not disclose your personal information without your prior consent. Your consent may be expressed or implied. For example, providing us with your email address to request information is implied consent to use your information to send you the requested information.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to reasonable notice. If you withdraw your consent, this will result in our being unable to give you certain services. In order to withdraw consent, you must provide notice to Insectcibus in writing, including through the unsubscribe link in our emails. 

Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention

We do not share or sell the personal information we collect. We will not disclose your personal information to anyone else without your prior knowledge or consent, except when required by a government body or agency, or as permitted by law. Insectcibus will not disclose, or transfer your personal information for any purpose other than those described above without first obtaining your consent, where such consent is not reasonably implied.

Insectcibus will retain Personal Information for only as long as required to fulfill the identified purposes or as required by law. Personal Information that is no longer required to fulfill the identified purposes will be destroyed or made anonymous according to the guidelines established by Insectcibus.

Information We Collect That Does Not Identify You

Insectcibus also collects information from you that is aggregated in such a way that it cannot be connected to you or any individual, and therefore is not considered personal information. This may include the following data we collect:

-device and browser type

-operating system

-the pages or features of the website that a visitor browsed

-the time spent on those pages or features

-the frequency with which the website is used by a visitor

-the links on the website that the user clicked on or used

-and other statistics

This information by itself or together cannot be tracked to a specific individual’s personally identifiable information.

How We Use Aggregated Information

In an ongoing effort to better understand the needs of our visitors so as to improve the Insectcibus website, we may use aggregated information to analyze user demographics and website usage behavior. This analysis may be used by Insectcibus for statistical purposes and to develop and enhance Insectcibus activities and services.

Google Analytics

The Insectcibus website uses Google Analytics to track website performance. We also track the performance of promotional links to our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Insectcibus website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google. However please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Insectcibus website. Insectcibus is not responsible for the privacy policy of these websites or how personally identifiable information is collected, stored, and used. Confidentiality and Security

Insectcibus maintains a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter ‘Submit’. We use a secure server. All supplied sensitive credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into a payment gateway database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such system.
